Italian foods are very popular around the world especially pasta and pizza to name a few, and when this amazing pasta is given an interesting Indian twist it becomes a bowl of irresistible and amazing masala pasta. Indian style desi pasta is basically Indian style macaroni or spaghetti Indian style. the Indian pasta or Indian macaroni is made using the aromatic Indian masalas. If you love pasta and Indian food then you wont be able to resist this masala pasta made in a pressure cooker hence one pan meal and its absolutely delicious and easy to make.

In this Indian style pasta recipe i will not be using any cheese unlike most of the white sauce pastas and red sauce pastas. In this Desi pasta recipe i have used minced meat, you can replace it with chicken or for a vegetarian Desi style pasta you can just add the veggies of your choice.
Pasta is loved by people of all ages so it can be served in parties , packed lunchboxes as an evening snack and also serves as a great breakfast option for kids and adults too. This easy macaroni Indian style recipe is quick to make as its made in a pressure cooker .
Here is the written recipe for Desi Pasta in pressure cooker .
INGREDIENTS ;

1. Pasta -2 cups
2. Onions – 2 chopped
3. Oil – 4 tbsp
4. Coriander chopped – 2-3 tbsp
5. Green chillies slit – 3-4 or to taste
6. Mint leaves 6-8
7. Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
8. Red chili powder – 1 tsp
9. Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
10. Salt to taste
11. Garam masala powder – 1/2 tsp
12.Tomato Purée from 6-8 tomatoes
13.Minced meat -150 -200 gms ( optional )
14. Vegetables ( optional )

METHOD

1. Heat oil in a pan add the onion fry till transparent and just slightly brown.
2. Add the chopped coriander, mint and green chillies fry for 2 mins.
3. Add the ginger garlic paste fry till the raw smell disappears.
4. Add the chilli powder , turmeric and salt.
5. Now add the meat or veggies . Fry for a few mins .
6. Add the tomato purée and cook for about 3-4 mins
7. Then add sufficient amount of water in the ratio of 1:2 , for every cup of pasta 2 cups of water for a thick sauce and 3 cups for a saucy pasta .
8. Add the garam masala powder .
9. Tomato ketchup – 2 tbsp can be added ( optional ) .
10. Mix everything well check for spices and close the pressure cooker .
11. Cook till about 3-4 whistles or until t heresies style Indian pasta is done .
12 . Turn off the flame and release the steam completely and add more water if required and bring to a boil and turn off the flame .

The delicious one pan meal Indian style pasta / desi pasta / Indian macaroni / Indian spaghetti / masala pasta : garam masala pasta / meat pasta / chicken pasta / Indian pasta is ready to serve along with you’re favourite sauce .
