Acted on your suggestion, Bob , and stopped by TW. Was able to get the bottle you reviewed. Never had it before. What a value! It's a lovely bottle of wine. The one I had was wide open straight out of the bottle and didn't really improve as it sat in the glass, at least not very much. But, jeez, it didn't need to. There'll be more of this in the house. Thanks for the great Intel!
Another steal from the south. Southern Italy also churns out some beautiful white wine… Greco di Tufo, Falanghina to name a few. The term Greco is interesting. What many do not know is that Greeks colonized Southern Italy around 750BC. They brought Greek grapes and wine making techniques and traditions. Eventually the Romans performed a reconquista of the South. However, some of the Greek grape varietals/wine making traditions survive to this day. Cheers Bob!
