that shit is fire, even that dave portney guy recognizes that this is the 'chicago pizza'. Tavern style is simply better elsewhere in the county, but the deepdish is unique and absolutely fucks.
I mean it's not everyday you crave a deep dish pizza. It's heavy af. So it makes sense to not have it regularly, or at all.
Yes real Chicagoans don't eat deep dish on a Tuesday they eat it on a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
