Trying one of the most expensive pasta meals in the supermarket… this one costs £10

So I had pretty high expectations going into it. Fresh pasta, Parmigiano Reggiano, premium positioning it should deliver.

But there was definitely a hiccup.

I somehow ended up with two sauce pouches, and the sauce itself had no meat in it at all, which didn’t quite line up with what I was expecting from a ragù-style product.

Now to be fair, the pasta quality was good and the sauce actually tasted decent — but something felt off for a £10 meal.

I’m assuming this might be a manufacturing error rather than the intended product, so @lafamigliarana would be good to know if this is how it’s meant to come?

Because at this price point, you expect everything to be spot on. #pasta #ragu

  1. Thats seems to be a pretty big quality control issue to miss out the main ingredient of the meal lol

  2. People rightly joke about how much pedigree chum is in a Fray Bentos steak pie, but that pasta is unbelievable – makes the pie look like a butchers paradise!

  3. NOOOOOOO! Don’t buy ready made pasta this is insane, it’s so easy to make yourself, it makes no sense to buy pre made.

  4. Is this the poor man's midlife crisis thing now, if you can't afford a motorbike? Do food reviews of absolute terrible food. 😅😅😅

  5. Here in germany we have 7 or 8 versions as single serving for about 5 euros. Ate the teryaki chicken one with more than 1 piece of meat in it but for the price i wasnt really convinced tho maybe the ones with proper pasta are better as a base for tuning

  6. lol, I’ve bought this before mate and got two packets of sauce but mines wall full of meat! I recon I got all your meat!! I actually loved it.

  7. When I got this I got 2 x pouches of sauce. There were a few more pieces of meat, but not many. Worst waste of £10 I’ve ever spent

  8. All being well you’ve used this video and sent it over to the manufacturer 😂. All good and well saying how tasty the sauce is, but it’s missing a key component. So what’s that ready meal actually worth? £4? Definitely not £10
