  1. Please try more of smitten kitchens recipes they are great! She has a lemon bar which uses an entire lemon (peel and all)!

  2. Beans have a bad rap but they are "Full of protein" and are "Vegetarian".

    Being vegetarian is NOT a good thing. Phyto nutrients are very poorly bioavailable and will strain the liver trying to make do with them. Also, there is NO scientific evidence that meat and natural fats are bad for you.

    Also, the proteins in beans are highly inflammatory and can even be deadly…

    PLEASE EMMY, stop giving nutritional advice in your videos…

  4. I love the concept of adding the protein source to your pizza. I would add my fav 'Beyond' spicy Italian sausage to the mix . . . and how about the option of adding all this to a cauliflower pizza crust? ? That would damn near make Pizza . . . HEALTHY!

  5. I used to make a very similar recipe to this but with Chickpeas / Garbanzo beans. Just jarred sauce, garlic, the beans and cheese all mixed together. It was one of my comfort meals during Covid.

  6. I make the NY Times Cheesy White Bean Tomato Bake, in my family we call it, pizza beans, I never thought of using more toppings! Greatidea!

  7. Question: what kind of saute-pan/casserole was that that you put in the oven, and is it easy to get the burnt stuff off the interior sides after you bake it?

  8. Make chicken stir-fry.
    Make chilly duck eggs. ( fried in gee. Add chilly soup powder to the yoak)
    Add Chicken sausage. Apple. Or other. Add green chilly tomatoes. Cubed.
    I added. Monterey cheese. Tobacco. And chilly flakes.
    1 bowl. Like dry pah.

  9. Emmy, in place of crust here, what if you blended your cooked beans into more of a paste, put it in the pan as a 'crust,' precook it in oven to get it more crusty, then top it, put back in oven…wondering if that would do it? Uncertain if pureed beans could become crispy/crusty, however. 🤷‍♀️

    But I disagree, black beans take longer than great nothern.

  12. VERY good with Black Beans (just not a fan of white beans, here), black olives, and more Green Pepper/mushrooms – actually, any extra veg works, IMO – jarred sauce is a great shortcut, too.

  13. My assigned contribution to Easter lunch at my mom’s house was pineapple upside down cake. Last night, my 6 year old son helped me make the batter. I kept it in the fridge overnight. After mass, I packed a cooler bag with the cake mix, butter, brown sugar, a jar of maraschino cherries, and a can of pineapple (or so I thought). We headed over to my mom’s and I went to throw it together and get it in the oven… only, I’d accidentally grabbed a can of garbanzo beans instead of pineapple. 😂 Oops. Thankfully, Dollar General was open.

  14. I love pizza beans! I just leave the cheese off and then it’s vegan for me. So good for you but also super tasty! 😊
