In this episode, Marc interviews Italian chef Fabrizio Fatucci, currently based in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Drawing on more than 30 years of international experience, Fabrizio shares his perspective on the evolving dining scene in Almaty through the lens of an Italian chef. The conversation also explores his culinary journey from Italy to London and later to Saint Petersburg, where a planned six-month stay turned into a twenty-year career, before bringing his expertise to Central Asia.

Fabrizio Fatucci is an Italian chef and culinary consultant from Rome with over 30 years of international experience in the restaurant industry. Trained at the Culinary Institute IPSEOASC Giancarlo De Carolis in Spoleto, he has worked across Italy, the United Kingdom, Russia, and Kazakhstan, specializing in opening restaurants and developing high-end culinary concepts.

Throughout his career, Fabrizio has served as executive and brand chef for leading restaurant groups in Saint Petersburg and Sochi, collaborated with the Probka Group, and contributed to the founding of the Italian culinary school Academia del Gusto in Moscow. He also taught as a master chef at Gambero Rosso Città del Gusto in Rome.

After completing his latest restaurant project at Giardino in Almaty, he now focuses on his consulting company, Fatucci Consulting, supporting new hospitality projects while expanding his work across Central Asia.
