Dare I say this is better than traditional lasagna?! ๐Ÿ‘€

Ep. 4 | One Skillet Lasagna

Ingredients:
-1 onion
-Butter
-salt, pepper, Italian seasoning
-3/4 lb ground beef
-1/2 lb Italian sausage
-jar of marinara (my favorite is creamy marinara)
-1 cup beef broth
-8 oz lasagna noodles
-1 cup mozzarella cheese
-8oz of ricotta cheese
-optional: chopped baby spinach

Instructions:
Add butter, chopped onion and salt and pepper to a pan. Cook until transparent. Add in your meat, and cook with Italian seasoning (measure with your heart, I use about a tbsp). Drain majority of the grease (using a paper towel is the ultimate hack). Add in jar of marinara. Add 1 cup water to empty jar, shake and pour in. Add 1 cup of beef broth, stir to combine. Break up your lasagna to smaller pieces and stir in, making sure all noodles are submerged. Cover and cook for 20 minutes, stirring every 5ish minutes. Once noodles are cooked, add in 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese. (If adding chopped spinach, add here) Dallop on your ricotta cheese, sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup of mozzarella over top. Put in oven on broil for 5 minutes until top is nice and bubbly. Enjoy ๐Ÿ˜‹ #easydinner #skilletlasagna #onepanmeal #familydinner #onepandinner

  1. Ricotta can be a little expensive for some budgets. If so, cottage cheese is a good substitute.
