Super Simple High Protein Salmon Pasta bake
Alright… this one is a 10 out of 10.
Single handedly restoring my faith in fish recipes.
Creamy, salty, tomatoey goodness with loads of protein and basically zero faff.
If you think salmon pasta is usually bland and depressing… this one fixes that.
Ingredients (4 servings)
200 g pasta
500 g salmon
150 g light cream cheese
200 g cherry tomatoes
100 g spinach
80 g sun dried tomatoes
20 g capers
Cooking Steps
1. Preheat your oven to 200°C.
2. In a baking dish add the salmon, cream cheese, cherry tomatoes, spinach, sun dried tomatoes and capers.
3. Mix it all together so the salmon is surrounded by the ingredients.
4. Cover the dish and bake in the oven for 40 minutes.
5. While that cooks, boil 200 g pasta according to the packet instructions.
6. Once the salmon mix is cooked, break the salmon up with a spoon and mix everything together into a creamy sauce.
7. Add the cooked pasta to the dish and mixy mixy until everything is coated.
Serve up and enjoy.

The last convention I went to was Megacon London in January where I won best craftsmanship in the Saturday competition – I went as The Dark Urge from Baldur's Gate 3, but styled as a ballgown. So big white dragon head and a fancy embroidered dress.
Next event for us is MCM London in May where I'm going to compete again as Hypnos from Hades 2 which is essentially a guy who is asleep all the time with the main outfit as a big blanket – perfect for me to roll about in my wheelchair and take naps whenever I like 😉 but just to go all out there I'm designing embroidered pyjamas to wear under the blanket. My husband, who doesn't compete, will be going as Poseidon from Hades 2 and he has been working hard to get the muscle shapes he wants for it – I've sent him more than a few of your recipes!
Other characters we've done in the past:
Inigo Montoya (me) and Westley (him) from The Princess Bride
Tallis (me), Grey Warden (me), Templar (him), and Red Templar (him) from Dragon Age
Domino (me) and Wolverine (him) from Marvel X Force comics
He Who Was (me), The Emperor (mindflayer, me), Sceleritas Fel (him), and Volothamp Geddarm (him) from Baldur's Gate 3
Sniper Wolf (me) and Otacon (him) from Metal Gear Solid
We've done a lot over the years tbh! I love it as a hobby and being at conventions. As a wheelchair user it's…odd, really, I get a lot of strangers approach me when I'm out and about making comments about the chair or my use of it because it's not a very common type of chair and whilst those comments are meant in a nice and positive way it gets very tiring…but at a convention people rarely mention the chair at all, I get to talk to people about the cosplay, and they approach me to chat about the love of the character or to ask how I made something or to compliment the cosplay/crafting that went into it. I love that so much. To have a weekend where I feel like everyone else, like we're on the same level, like the chair isn't all anyone is seeing about me.
Also if anyone is out there wondering how to get into cosplay or how to make a cosplay more accessible around mobility aids or wheelchairs or other disability needs, please feel free to look me up on Bsky or Instagram or wherever and get in touch I'm happy to help people out with advice and tips and planning and all that good stuff! I've been cosplaying for over 15 years now and used all sorts of materials and techniques, and gone from being strong and active to cane to crutches to wheelchair user in that time too so I have a lot of experience balancing cosplay around disability.
Also, cosplay is for *everyone*, no matter what you look like or how old you are. If you're having fun dressed as a character you love, well done you're doing it right! The only way to cosplay wrong is to be mean to others or make them feel uncomfortable. Just be kind, be mindful, and have fun <3
I have thought about going as the rancor trainer from Return of the Jedi.
Haven't been to a con yet, but plan to some day. Would love to dress as Sylvanas. I did dress as Silver Banshee for a Halloween Party one year.
My friends and I would do themes every year when we went. One year we did Venture Bros (My friend's Monarch was epic) and there was the year we did Duct Tape Heroes where all our costumes were made with colored duct tape. Good times.
Joker
I feel like there is way more than 500 calories in that portion
I’ve never been to comic-con I wanna go tho and if I do I’ll dress as Spider-Man
Zero from Code Geass. Also got to sit on the iron throne with people bowing at me. That was fun
I have it on the Comic-Con a handful of times and I absolutely love it. I have not dressed up but if I ever have the opportunity to I would probably go as Sailor Jupiter. Though Galadriel is a close second
With my body type, I feel like I could pull off a cosplay of Beetlejuice.
I have gone as miles morales spider man home made suit from spider man home coming and one of my Uneec characters called satens solder
A predator
Trick to the jar lid being so hard to open is grab a fork or butter knife or a spoon and smack the corner part of the lid all around it! Then open it. If it's still not easy, do it again and then try! Yes there will be dents, but do we care about the lid being perfect?
I want to go to comic con as a female version of God ussop!!! 😂 one piece is epic!❤
Never been but been to several cosplay parties went as Sasquach
But everyone kept calling me naked Chewie
Im a LARPer, i play a Khorne Warrior, so i wore my my Armor and the masc.
Only time I've been to one I was Matt Smith's Eleventh Doctor, fez and all
Use the bottle opener on the end of a tin opener to open those pesky jars. 😉
never been to comic con but id go as batman frfr
I haven't been to a Comicon yet, but I'd probably go as Evie from The Mummy movies. Or anything super comfy. Maybe a massive Super-Mario Yoshi onesie 🦖
