On Friday night, my wife, son, and I were out at our neighborhood Italian-Greek place.
Instead of a traditional appetizer, we went with a small 10" personal pizza. We wanted to create something different because there was a wide variety of toppings available.
We went with gyro meat, feta cheese, and a little bit of mozzarella cheese to keep it all together.
It was amazing.
I'm not sure if this qualifies as odd, but I'm curious if anyone else has successfully combined something "unusual" at home or "out" and what it was.

this sounds delicious and my warehouse club was offering beef gyro samples and now I wanna go back and buy a box and do a greek pizza, build off yours, add some red onion and tomato (i dunno if those are inherently greek, but they have shown up in my gyros in the past) maybe finish with some tzatziki after the cook?
Pretty standard pizza imo, but of course very delicious! A lot of local places to my have a gyro pizza! And even more have donair pizza which if you haven’t tried you absolutely need to
