Being in a long-distance marriage… this Valentine’s Day I’ll be spending it, as usual, with my dogs.
And my husband will most probably forget to send me roses again. 🌹😂
So I baked my own.
Pizza Roses — soft, cheesy, homemade, and way better than a bouquet.
Here’s the full recipe 👇
🌹 Dough:
• 2 cups maida (≈350g)
• 7g yeast
• ½ cup warm milk
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tbsp sugar
• 1 tsp mixed herbs
• 2 tbsp olive oil
Mix everything and knead into a soft dough. Let it rest until doubled.
🌹 Filling:
• ~½ cup pizza sauce
• Thin slices of tomato
• Grated cheese
• Any toppings you love: olives, basil, mushrooms, corn, chilli flakes, mixed herbs
🌹 Assembly:
Roll the dough out into a rectangle.
Spread lots of pizza sauce.
Add toppings + generous grated cheese.
Roll tightly into a log.
Cut into 12 pieces.
Grease a muffin tray generously and place each roll inside.
Bake at 200°C for 15 minutes or until golden, bubbly and beautiful.
That’s it.
Your Valentine’s Day recipe = sorted.
