  1. I've always wanted to make homemade pasta. I'm intimidated by the process but mostly because I don't have a pasta machine and I don't know if I want to invest in one.

  2. A little lemon zest also adds a nice element to that cheese and nutmeg filling 🙂

  3. do i spend 3+ hours making ravioli? for 1, also don't have a mixer so would have to roll it out myself.
do i spend 5 mins boiling frozen, already made, ravioli?

there is not a chance in anyway the homemade version is worth spending 36x the amount of time/effort on it. by the time you are done making it and eating it, you have to start cooking your next meal already.

maybe for a special event or something but just as a normal meal, this is not worth the time unless you were stay at home but your partner needs to be bringing in a lot of dough to be able to do that today.

  4. You should show how to make chicken and beef (and lobster filled which tastes amazing with melted garlic butter) filled raviolis.

  5. Could you use a stand mixer instead of kneading? Excited to try this recipe – thanks for your recipes, John!! Everything always comes out perfect 😁 you’re such a great teacher!

  6. I make pasta dough in the food ptocessor. It comes together so quickly. I still have to do all the kneading but the processor saves so much time.

If you dust with semolina you absolutely must remove the pasta from the water with a spider. The semolina drops to the bottom and you dont want that flour on the finished pasta. I dust with 00 flour to avoid that issue.

  7. I was a nervous wreck a few nights ago and watching this video calmed me down and reminded me of happy times with my parents making this. So thank you.

  8. It’s all your fault😢. I was just wondering about lime recipes, and your key lime pie and cake recipes came up but now that I’ve subbed, I WANT ONE OF EVERYTHING !😂❤
