Zacharys is my favorite pizza spot, funny thing is I almost never get the deep dish. Just the regular pan is crazy good and I donβt have time to be waiting a hour for my pie to cook. I like the spot in Berkeley
Not even close to the best deep dish pizza in the bar. I canβt believe so many people recommended it.
Zacharyβs is decent β¦ the sauce is just way too chunky for my liking.
Try Rotten city Pizza in Emeryville and also Junes Pizza in Oakland on Mandala parkway.

This is the only good deep dish I had over 20 years living out West, including over a decade on the West Coast. Glad to see it broke 8, especially considering Dave is biased against deep dish – probably because it's not an East Coast style – which is obviously the best type of pizza.
