Today I’m sharing a delicious Red Sauce Pasta recipe made with fresh vegetables and rich tomato sauce.
This restaurant-style pasta is very easy to make and perfect for lunch, dinner, or kids’ tiffin. If you love Italian food, you’ll definitely enjoy this recipe.
🍝 Red Sauce Pasta Recipe
Ingredients:
Pasta – 1 cup (penne/fusilli)
Oil – 1 tbsp
Butter – 1 tbsp
Garlic – 1 tsp (finely chopped)
Onion – 1 small (chopped)
Tomato puree – 1 cup
Capsicum – ½ cup (chopped)
Sweet corn / olives / mushrooms – optional
Red chilli flakes – ½ tsp
Black pepper – ½ tsp
Mixed herbs / Oregano – 1 tsp
Salt – as per taste
Sugar – a pinch (optional)
Cheese – as required
👩🍳 Method:
Boil pasta in water with salt and a few drops of oil. Cook till al dente and keep aside.
Heat oil and butter in a pan. Add chopped garlic and sauté till aromatic.
Add onions and cook till soft. Add capsicum and other vegetables, sauté for 2–3 minutes.
Add tomato puree, salt, chilli flakes, black pepper, mixed herbs, and a pinch of sugar. Cook till sauce thickens.
Add boiled pasta and mix well so the sauce coats the pasta evenly.
Cook for 1–2 minutes. Turn off the flame and add cheese.
Serve hot and enjoy your creamy red sauce pasta.
