For Pizza Base:
Masoor dal (red lentils) – 1 cup (soaked for 3-4 hours)
Curd – 2 tbsp
Salt – as needed
Baking soda – ¼ tsp (optional)
Water – as needed for batter consistency
For Toppings:
Pizza sauce – 2 tbsp
Chopped onions – 2 tbsp
Chopped capsicum – 2 tbsp
Sweet corn – 1 tbsp
Grated cheese – as desired
Mixed herbs – ½ tsp
Chilli flakes – ½ tsp
Oil – for cooking
👩🍳 Method / Recipe Steps
Soak & Blend:
Soak 1 cup masoor dal for 3-4 hours. Drain the water and grind to a smooth batter with a little water.
Prepare Batter:
Add curd, salt, and baking soda to the dal batter. Mix well to form a dosa-like consistency.
Cook the Base:
Heat a non-stick tawa and pour a ladle of batter. Spread thickly (like uttapam). Cook on medium flame with little oil.
Add Toppings:
Spread pizza sauce, add chopped veggies and grated cheese. Sprinkle herbs and chilli flakes.
Cover & Cook:
Cover the pan and cook on low flame for 3–5 minutes till the cheese melts and base turns golden.
Serve Hot:
Slice and serve with ketchup or chutney! 🍕
