    1. Make the cream
    Whip the cold heavy cream until soft peaks form.
    In a separate bowl, mix mascarpone, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
    Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture using a spatula.
    2. Prepare the coffee
    Brew strong coffee and let it cool completely.
    (Optional: add 1โ€“2 tbsp coffee liqueur.)
    3. Assemble the cake
    Line a 18 cm / 7-inch round pan with acetate or parchment paper.
    Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee (1โ€“2 seconds).
