  1. This place is legit. Just went there on Saturday. Got the stuffed baked potato and 3 meat. The potato is a beast. I’m not a big guy at 5’5”, 150 but I can finish one by myself. It’s something that will keep you full most of the day. Brisket is really good with nice smoky flavor. They’re not cheap but good BBQ never is. This place is much better than the chains we have here such as Rudy’s or Famous Dave’s. Beware as Desert Oak is closed on Monday and Tuesday and once they’re sold out for the day they’re closed.

  2. These fake explanations from customers have always pissed me off but that lady saying it's zesty just did it for me smh

  3. Just went there today for our second time and it never fails. Love this bbq. It reminds me just like Smitty’s in Lockhart. So happy to have this gem here in El Paso.

  4. Of course the haters came out here. Went to Desert Oak grand opening on Saturday. Big new location.. A huge and wonderful turn out. They are growing and now have a second location in far east EP.

  5. This was the best potato i have ever eaten. Like its like top 3 of the most delicious meals of my life you need to hit up when you pass by el paso its a must

  6. After making the 915 home for the past 10 yrs, I absolutely love seeing local spots make it onto national TV.
Desert Oak and Chucoviche Mariscos are my favorite spots in my (new) home that is El Paso/The 915/Chuco Town.

  7. Robert Rodriguez recommended TX hill country oak for his brisket recipe. Wish I had a smoker setup.

  8. This place is not all that great. I have had better Bar b que and when we went, it was dirty and customer service sucked.

  9. Meet this owner in person He is the Real deal!! Awesome Food great customer service and what a truly humble God Fearing man. Visited from Toronto Canada and loved this great texa bbq!!

  10. I’m from El Paso live in Dallas now but always love to visit many great foodie spots in EP

  11. This establishment has gone down the hole!!! Terrible service, the plates you order are limited, and the managers there have NO idea what it means to manage a business. The owner should restart and go back to being what he started it as a "BBQ Joint" not a Wendy's. I have started going to Rudy's instead.

  12. We took a group here for lunch Excellent food and great service, did not have the potato though Maybe next time
