I always puke when I think of mixed anjovies in a sauce…ew
Hi, I’m Ricky Bobby, and I’m Cal Naughton Jr, urging you never to travel to Tijuana
And it's still disgusting to this day
No anchovies 😢
Who built Thebes of the 7 gates ?
In the books you will read the names of kings.
Did the kings haul up the lumps of rock ?
And Babylon, many times demolished,
Who raised it up so many times ?
In what houses of gold glittering Lima did its builders live ?
Where, the evening that the Great Wall of China was finished, did the masons go?
Great Rome is full of triumphal arches.
Who erected them ?
Over whom did the Caesars triumph ?
Had Byzantium, much praised in song, only palaces for its inhabitants ?
Even in fabled Atlantis, the night that the ocean engulfed it,
The drowning still cried out for their slaves.
The young Alexander conquered India.
Was he alone ?
Caesar defeated the Gauls.
Did he not even have a cook with him ?
Philip of Spain wept when his armada went down.
Was he the only one to weep ?
Frederick the 2nd won the 7 Years War.
Who else won it ?
Every page a victory.
Who cooked the feast for the victors ?
Every 10 years a great man.
Who paid the bill ?
So many reports.
So many questions.
Indirectly surely got the name from Caesar
SOOO Delicious. BTW The croutons at Caesars are rounds of baguette, not cubes, and you get two of them on your salad (and all the extras you ask for if you want). And they use a WAY bigger bowl to mix the dressing, and dress fewer leaves at a time, so it's a lot easier to make. The extra dressing is scooped out of the bowl and drizzled on the dressed leaves and the croutons. It's my favorite thing to eat in TJ every time I am down there.
Anchovies destroy salads
"there were no anchovies in the original salad" there are no anchovies in the one we eat now either??? what??
Caesar was the title of Roman emperors in general, not just Julius Caesar of whom it was also his last name.
Stupidest dish that ever existed. It's just tasteless leaves and a bit of bread. The souce ist delicious but it isn't worth the price. It is unhealthy and you are still hungry after eating a complete bowl
Unwashed lettuce , yum salmonella
They got bone marrow sopes there served with a Demi glacé sauce and salsa, so fire
Tijuana, Baja California*
Julius Caesar wasn't a dictator. He was elected! He was very popular too. The modern US Senate is based on have the Roman politics were made. Actually, the President has more political power the Caesar did. Caesar only had absolute control of the army durin a military campaign. Outside of that, the many Caesars had no real power.

There are many stories making the Democratic ancient Greeks sound like angels when the Romans are seen as evil. But most don't realise is the Romans were Greeks too. They came from the same roots. Romeor rather Roma was a ancient Greek colony.
so its not caesar but caesar 😀
This salad is best served every 15th of March.
You lost me when you said probably ✌🏽
is that jojo reference?!1?!1?!
I’ve tried both recipes and I’m not big on anchovies by any means, but they definitely add a little more to the dish than the Worcestershire sauce does.
Is cutting your lettuce an actual thing?
A restaurant ran out of food ? Wow.
Ceaser Salad? Anyone?
SHIIIIIIIZZZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! ❌ 🪨 😭 ☀️ 💭
Who cares who or where it was named after or came from? It tastes WONDERFUL and is HEALTHY.
The funny thing is that Diana Kennedy also had a recipe that she swore was authentic and it did have anchovies in it. I've come to the conclusion that it's possible there were two recipes — Cesar liked his without anchovies, and Alex (his brother) preferred it with.
Interesting. I thought it was invented in Mexico City. It's a great, tasty salad.
I knew there was some Mexican in there😂😂😂😂
those leaves look SO fresh for this being the ORIGINAL Caesar Salad (sorry, i'm sleepy rn)
I love it
I'm surprised the restaurant is still up after a century of the salad's creation.
More of a Zing that a zang
It’s my favorite salad, It’s a must to whip up fresh dressing from scratch, a small tube of anchovies paste is key!
"The restaurant ran out of food and put together what they could" It seems like this is the origin for a lot of foods out there such as Chop Suey, nachos, to name a few…
not up for debate
I’m going to teach you something as well. We never cut salade with a knife.
I watched Gordon Ramsay's travel show where Gordon met Caesar's grandson & he made Gordon the salad whilst telling him the story of its origin.
Now they cross the border to get coke and whores
Looks as delicioussss
If you eat one of these I Tijuana you’re gonna get hep a or some horrible disease!
Raw egg?!
Red lobster has the best Caesar idc what anyone says.
"A recipe" not "The"…
Want
I personally dont like it to garlicky for me but my parents and grandparents always make it when i go over so im forced into eating it
