1 onion, finely chopped
100g back bacon rashers, visible fat removed, diced
2 garlic cloves, crushed
400g can chopped tomatoes
½ tsp dried red chilli flakes
300g dried spaghetti
Mixed salad leaves, to serve
Cook the spaghetti according to the pack instructions.
Meanwhile, place a large, non-stick frying pan over a medium-high heat. Fry the onion, bacon and garlic for 6-8 minutes, or until lightly coloured, stirring frequently. Add the tomatoes and chilli flakes, and simmer over a low heat for 10 minutes until thickened.
Drain the cooked spaghetti and add to the frying pan. Stir gently and serve straight away.
