  1. Theres a very similar thing in china thats served in mess halls. Just leafy greens cooked with fried pork/chicken skins

  2. Ive been doing this for years with a roast as an ex did it and I couldnt get enough. I havent done it with bacon but everything else is the same and the only other thing i aad is dry thyme. (Not fresh) it goes perfectly with it

  3. Guys, help me. Is his pot, with emaille and old/scratched? Mine is starting too and i didnt want to use it anymore becaise of it. Love by thx

  4. I personally hate this dish but I undesirable it's a personal preference, so looks like the vid is spot on for cooked cabbage lovers

  5. When I grill bacon the rendered fat is mopped up with some cheap white bread. I do love cooking savoy cabbage with the butter water and pepper, though.

  6. It's weird watching these videos because it's as if MPW is doing a Gordon Ramsey impression – and yet all along it's been Gordon Ramsey doing a Marco Pierre White impression.

  7. Swao out the bacon for a Knob or two of blue chese (St Agur works really well) at the end. Delicious. My wife detested blue cheese until I cooked this and now she wants it every Day!

  8. Love it, but I cook my bacon first and cook my cabbage in the bacon renderings finishing with butter. Chopped bacon is added to cooked cabbage.

  9. Whenever I cook bacon, I stick a couple of slices of bread into the pan and fry it in the fat.

  10. I've been doing this for years – smoked bacon 'goujons' cooked until crispy and rendered, shredded Savoy, a glug of white white, fresh ground black pepper. Cover on a medium heat, toss occasionally, and serve whilst it's still slightly firm and the cabbage still retains its brightness. Brilliant with roast chicken.
