To stop onions from burning eyes, you can also cut them next to an open flame, like a candle or two. Or keep a piece of bread in your mouth while you are cutting. I think the bread absorbs the onion fumes and it doesn't burn your eyes.

I always put my potatoes in ice water before making french fries, my mom taught way back in the 60’s, but my parents were born and raised in Ireland, so she should know 🤣 miss them every day

Such great tips to learn: that potato water really did not have starch and what a great new thing to know about onions which I use so often and always have watery eyes. I'm so envious of their garden (veg and herbs) how it all must taste fresh from the earth….sigh. Thanks again for a lovely bit of life there. Oh – and three words for you: Noise Canceling Headphones. The good ones work wonders IF you really do not want to hear outside sounds – and connects with anything via Bluetooth. I have managed to live comfortably through long term construction just across the street from me without hearing a thing – (go for the good ones if you get them – or you might already have them).

Anna is AbFab ! Healing thoughts to Carlo⭐
I am in the same boat as Carlo. My foot started hurting at work on Tuesday Wednesday, I could not put weight on it. I was then diagnosed with plantars fasciitis. Extremely, painful. It's Friday and I will be trying to go back to work after buying new shoes, buying prescription inserts and doing stretches each day. As well as trying to sty off it. Very difficult. At least I only have a few steps, 16, to get to my bedroom. I hate taking it easy, but luckily, I have your videos to watch. Thank you. ❤
It also helps if you refrigerate your onions. 😊

Thanks Nikki and Anna❤ I loved watching and I love seeing their garden. It’s just beautiful all the fresh veggies. It’s one of my dreams. I would love to ask if she could make a dish with artichokes? As artichokes are one of my favorite vegetables but all I do is usually steam them until they’re tender. I know there must be ways of making dishes with them and I would love to see a traditional Italian dish with artichokes. Thank you if you can do so.❤

Carlo, try this for sprain ankle: wrap your ankle in a wet water and vinegar towel, then plastic overnight. The next morning your ankle is well, good to go!
