Amateur Chemistry’s “Spaghetti” Recipe (Enough for about 4 big servings)

Ingredients:
-1,5kg Meat (High fat pork or beef)
-400g Spaghetti pasta
-3 (3x400g) Cans of peeled tomatoes
-Half an onion
-Three cloves of garlic
-Vegetables of choice
-Salt, Pepper, Chilli powder, Oregano, Basil
-Olive oil
-A fancy and less fancy cheese of choice

Procedure:
Meat – Wash it, cut into pieces small enough to fit in your grinder, grind it (You can also optionally use ground meat from the store), add some olive oil, salt and pepper and mix everything thoroughly. You can optionally let the meat sit for a while for the spices to penetrate it better (I guess this is what that does), then get a big pan or a pot and heat up some diced onion and olive oil in it for a few minutes. When the onions start to brown, throw in the meat and cook it thoroughly on low heat.

Pasta – Prepare a pot filled with a good amount of water, salt it generously and bring to a boil. Then toss in all the pasta and cook it for however long you prefer – after about 7 minutes it becomes soft enough for me.

Sauce – Wash and dice your vegetables (You can use things like carrot, celery, or more onion), then add them along with all the canned tomatoes and garlic cloves into a bowl. Flavor this concoction using the aforementioned spices however you like and blend everything together until there are no big vegetable chunks present.

The final assembly – Combine the sauce with the meat and boil it down so that it gets a reasonably thick consistency, a few minutes before serving add both cheeses in about 2:1 proportion of the less fancy to the more fancy one, and let them melt into the sauce (This might require some manual stirring). When the source is ready, get a few bowls and toss in some pasta, then pour a generous amount of sauce on top and grate in some more cheese because why not.

Just like that, your very own cat-approved Amateur Chemistry spaghetti is done, now you can do whatever you want with it (Eating it is a good option but setting it on fire is also quite appealing).

Also, excuse me for my poor speaking, English is not my native language so I have some trouble with pronunciation, in case you don’t understand something there are always subtitles made by me.

This is a disclaimer for all the people that will probably get mad at me for feeding spaghetti to my cat: She ate like 3 grams of it, was completely fine afterwards, usually she doesn’t eat anything other than her cat food.

  1. Oh ff's sake. I'm so sick of my comments disappearing for no reason. I am not blaming Amateur Chemistry (right?), it's the yt censorbot which is becoming more and more aggressive. We're likely entering an era of even more intense opinion manipulation than before.

My comment was about pasta. Just about pasta. I was giving my 2 cents as to why it is usually better if you leave the meat out of the fridge for a short while before cooking it, because Amateur Chemistry was wondering why this was advised.

So do you see something political in there? Eating meat can no longer be mentioned? I do *not* understand what's going on. But imho it doesn't bode well, unfortunately.

  2. I have no interest in chemistry but this guy is so entertaining! Also, as an Italian from Tuscany, the disclaimer made me laugh so hard, it's true, we tend to get offended when we see atrocities, byt it's mostly for the meme, at least for me loo

  3. Dude next time put some oil on your pasta if you don't fully mix it right away with the sauce, otherwise it gets dry and sticky and plain out weird. Other than that i think you actually did a pretty good job with those spaghetti

  4. You should probably be careful giving that to your cat… Onion is toxic to cats, garlic even more so.

  5. Absolutely love your videos….I'm curious….your Polish Cheese Tree looks like a cousin of the rare Polish Lemon Tree….were you able to grow a hybrid?

  6. You should store the ampule with your sample in the freezer, as pasta compounds in general are not stable at room temperature.

  7. Honestly the only major thing you missed in the dish are the stirfried onions and carrots, and basil

  8. Also yo give the meat a better flavour before adding the sauce put a bit of cooking white wine and make it evaporate enough

  9. The final sauce is a too thick add a bit of wateril and put the vegetables in the same step as the onion

  10. As a polish person I'm very proud of your cheese tree. Koniecznie potrzebuję filmu z tobą i Explosions&Fire

  11. Merci pour cette vidéo moi je pensais que vous allez le préparer encore plus chimiquement mais j'ai l'impression c'est plus naturel ça se rapproche un peu de la recette classique c'est juste que vous utilisez des ustensiles chimie

  12. Should anyone be planning on feeding their cat spagehetti with sauce be very cautious or avoid. GARLIC and ONION are both toxic to cats and do severe permanent injury to their organs and is a horrible way to see your pet die. There was no mention of using those ingredients here that I saw, but many human food dishes, prepared sauces, meats, etc have a significant amount.
