When people think of Italy, food is always at the heart of the conversation. But Italian cuisine isn’t just about pizza and pasta—snacks play a huge role too, and Mamma mia, do I love a scrumptious snack. Whether salty or sweet, Italy offers a variety of goodies that he simply can’t resist.
In this challenge, I sampled a mix of savoury, but mostly sweet treats, and each one was scored to give you a clear idea of what is worth trying (and maybe what to skip) on your next Italy trip—or, what to bring home as the perfect edible souvenir!
After all, while visiting landmarks and enjoying local dishes is a must, isn’t gifting a box of authentic Italian snacks to your loved ones one of the best ways to share your travel experience? Although, let’s be honest—there’s a good chance you’ll want to keep them all for your personal stash instead, so if you’ll be tempted, avoid putting them in your carry on luggage!
When working through all these treats, I also noticed many of them are made without palm oil. That means not only are they a little kinder to the environment, but they’re often better for your health too.

Vincenzo, looks like the folks in Italy have changed the official ingredients that can be added to the classic Bolognese. Thought you would enjoy this video. Would love to hear your thoughts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtfkBwEkNbQ
Really great to know. Like you, also love Mulino Bianco. Much taste testing ahead for me. 🎉
I remember most of them from my time living in Italy with my late wife who was an Italian Citizen… Thank you for the memory, unfortunately most of them are no longer available in Brexit Britain or if they are they are only for the wealthy who can afford the enormous mark up often costing the equivalent of 10X what they were in Italy…
Vincenzo mate, this doesn't go on a gluten free diet my man. All of it, i can't eat it or get very sick my friend. Normally i watch all of your video's until the end but i have to stop at 1:30. Please i'm happy for you you can eat this but for me it's garbage.
the Pan di Stelle are very enticing! I am lucky that my local bakery makes the peches–theirs are wonderful! And they make a German version of the wafers—those are to die for! Of course, I get them the day they are made. I would love to see a tasting of the best savory snacks from Italy. Please do take another vacation to make a video for us!
I'm not so sure about all the rest of that junk, but the Loaker wafers are indeed incredible. It's not just the taste but the texture. Even their cheese flavor is good.
No, the TUC originally come from Belgium. Mondelez used to be Kraft…
Saved the best for last. Si. 👌🏼👍
Grisbi and Baiocchi are my favorites from the featured snacks. ❤❤ I always buy them whenever I come to Italy for vacation. My favorite fillings are lemon and pistacchio.
I love Tarallucci cookies
Un altro video inutile
I like them all less kinder delice thats tooooo sweet and the pesche which i dont know
Hi Vincenzo
What do You think about Pinsa. Can you make a video about it?
Curioso come siano tutti prodotti industriali e poco salutari…ma sono comunque migliori di quelli che si trovano all'estero!
7:00 Lol 😂 Okay seriously. Brioche covered in chocolate? 💀
It’s so wonderful to see you time travel to your childhood and loving the deliciousness of those days. 😊🫶👏👏👏
I don’t think the Mulino Bianco products are the same in the US as they are in Italy.
Not sure how you all feel about Amazon, but I looked up those mouthwatering treats Vincenzo introduced us to. It looks like they actually carry some of them —- at least here in the United States.
I wish we had these snacks in the US. There’s a local Italian grocery store near me that used to carry some of these snacks but then they just stopped for some reason.
Wow Vincenzo these snacks are amazing. I would like to check these snacks out at some point.
