  1. This is a fave in our house. Only difference is that I cut the biscuits. Never thought of leaving them whole but I sure will next time!

  2. ew the cheese or gravy broke…. pour the gravy on after you bake.

like look at it it's curdled.
not hate, this is most definitely a good idea!!! but IMO bake without gravy and cheese…
add cheese at end and put in broiler till melted
then serve gravy on the side to pour on the plate.
also if you want a less fatty casserole, leave half of the cooked sausage in the gravy (which will make it more flavourful) and serve it in a gravy boat so each person dining can chose how much they want to drown themselves in gravy 🙂

  3. And just imagine how good if you made your own biscuits and didn’t use pregrated garbage cheese and instead used some high quality aged cheddar or Comte. Steep the milk with herbs or aromatics before using it in the béchamel. How about a layer of homemade hash browns on the bottom? Enough of the Sandra Lee cooking.

  4. I make that exact recipe except that I cut the biscuits up into pieces. It's delicious and I usually make it for dinner when we have breakfast for dinner. 😊
