  1. If you look around 6:05 in the video, you can see some halved onion. I think she was throwing outer skin peel of onions.
I made a simple lasagna using ravioli and sauce with ricotta and cheese. It would be even easier on a sheet pan.

  2. Go to Valerie Bertinelli's stove top lazy lasagna. It uses the 1/2 in thin lasagna noodles.

  3. Glad I am not the only one that is annoyed that she trashed the onion. Just use it tomorrow or something,

  4. I would mix the ricotta/spinach mixture in with the sauce and noodles and reserve a small amount to dollar up on top for decoration.

This would be similar to baked ziti, I believe

  6. This one feel more Italian…im dying! Love the recipe, and cannot wait to make this/ Thank you and Merry Christmas!

  7. Relax about the onion people! She is at work on a schedule, not in her own kitchen. I’m sure she normally would never throw an innocent onion away.

  8. Giada is the only tv chef that I follow on here, but it’s mostly because of her precious daughter, Jade!😉❤️
Btw, you need to get a ground meat chopper utensil, they work amazingly well!

  9. What a great hack!! Must try! I'm a lazy a cook who loves lasagna so when I do go to the trouble, I make up triple batches of the spinach cheese sauce AND the sausage meat sauce and freeze in the Soup Cube one cup trays, then transfer to zip lock baggies. Thaws in no time and lasts up to six months or longer in freezer. These sauces can be used for a lot of dishes as well. Cheers! 🥘🥘

  10. Wow… Wearing a white sweatshirt while cooking with tomato sauce… That's one brave lady! 😂🤣😂

  11. These are sooooo good. Can you please please please try to recreate the Italian Nachos that you can get at Old Chicago? Thanks 😘

  13. Another way to enjoy the flavors of lasagna is to choose a noodle of your choice (I use rigatoni because the cheese mixture gets down into the noodles) and just mix the noodles with the cheese and egg mixture (add spinach if you like) and then top with sauce and more cheese. It's a lot quicker than traditional lasagna, but with the exact same flavors. ☺️

  14. I would actually like to try that. The only change I would make is that I would make sure there was an even amount of cheese spread out through the whole pan.. There are big sections with no cheese on it. I'd also like to try it with homemade meatballs. YUM!

  15. I make this often. My fav Giada recipe ever. I use fresh lasagna sheets (Rana) that I cut up to skip the boiling stage. I will never make lasagna the traditional way again.

  16. All the comments about the onion are driving me insane! Just watch the video and enjoy her. I don’t think she threw the onion away. Actually I think it was just the skin but get over yourselves. Everybody has to find some fault with everyone on YouTube .. it’s so annoying.

  17. That looks really good. Also you are so brave and/or coordinated to make a meal with marinara sauce wearing a white sweatshirt.

  18. You were so brave to wear that white top to cook in! Not one drop of tomato sauce did you slop on it. You rock! Loved this video as always. You make cooking so fun. I'll have to try this recipe. TY
