In this On The Road Special Edition, Stevie Kim goes on a road trip in Collio in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of northeast Italy

Stevie kickstarts her road trip on a Vespa with Luca Raccaro, Vice President of the Collio Consorzio, where she visits the Santuario del Prevail and gets an overview of the territory and its defining characteristics.

Next Stevie upgrades to an off-road 4×4 to continue her tour of the region with the President of the Collio Consorzio, David Buzzinelli. The destination is Ruttars, a remote area of the region that is characterised by a mixed landscape of vineyards, olive groves and woods.

Next stop, Stevie meets local wine producer Paolo Della Rovere where she learns about the history of vine growing in the region

Ornella Venica is Stevie’s next guide, who explains the wine-making techniques typical of the region.

Finally, Stevie visits Borgo Gradis’ciutta where sits down with Lavinia Zamaro, Director of the Collio Consorzio, to discuss the particular characteristics of wines from the region.
