  1. I'd like to see some old Italian recipes before new world ingredients were imported to Italy, to know what Italian food was about before tomatoes, and potatoes, etc. โค

  2. First course of fried croquettes, I thought it looked like deep fried gnocchi, and I was pretty close! Second course, now really getting into this video, Vincenzo's primo porcini risotto, rice porn at its best! Bravo! Main course, Italian braised beef, ๐Ÿคฏ, yep, blew my mind. Dessert, oh, perfection! My suggestion, do a Christmas/Natale celebration dinner. Awesome video!

  5. Can I make a request? Italian sausage with peppers and onions like a real Italian. Need to learn how we're doing this wrong in the states.

Vincenzo… I have a recommendation… I did not know how to get a hold of you other than a comment section… My family is originally from potenza in Basilicata region and I always grew up eating lasagna with ricotta and sauce. Mama made the sauce with sausages. But I hear there's a name for this southern Italian lasagna. I think it's called lasagna di Magro. Just curious about the history. I'm sure it's la cucina povera.
