  1. Discount steak lifted with Harrissa dry seasoning mixed with different parts Olive Oil and water

Sautee Thin sliced carrots and onion (or shallot) until tender, garlic, mix in roughly 16oz of orzo.

Splash of white wine to deglaze, few cups of homemade chicken stock. Grind up Saffron small dab of water to transfer to pot easier. Once absorbed and tender. Remove from heat, add fresh parmesan. Pads of butter

Marinade steak in Harissa Paste a few hours. cook in pan, finish in oven, attempt to slice against the grain but its difficult because its shaped funny and that’s why its discounted. Mix resting juices into Orzo.

Cook egg and put on top.

Edit* Some lemon zest and red pepper flakes in the orzo with a squirt of lemon at the end.

I adore orzo! Lately I like to combine with wild rice and toast in butter to make a pilaf.

I used to love orzo. My mom would serve it to us often growing up. Then one night I was sick with the flu, and well, you know what happened. It’s ruined it for me for life. I’ve gotten sick over many things, but somehow it’s the only thing I’ve not been able to get over. I’ve been wanting to make it in soup, but I’ve been so scared lol. Maybe I will make some on Sunday… It’s been like 20 years.. I don’t know why I can’t move on
