Sir, this is just a plate of whipped cream with a side of tiramisu hiding underneath it

    That’s straight r/stupidfood …..

Who on earth would put whipped cream on tiramisu?!?!

  3. Trainpower10

I’m sure it was tasty (and I’d destroy it tbh), but whipped cream???

  4. melanzanefritte

Sloppy mess. The whipped cream does not belong there and makes most of the mess.

I can’t quite see properly the tiramisu underneath, but besides being too sloppy it doesn’t seem bad.

there must be some problem with the mascarpone cream because mine doesn’t make water!

Very sloppy, but i am sure something so sweet and fat cannot taste bad 😂😂.

Lol Italians get so mad when ever we don’t see something as authentic. Of course “authentic traditions” are often modern inventions.

Just curious, where in Florida did you find this?

Tiramisu is a weird dish to judge, it’s one of those desserts that people grow up with and there are many different things that people at home modify so it’s always biased.

What to me is good for others could be mediocre just because it’s how my grandmother made it for example.

Anyway from the picture hard to say, the whipped cream is hiding the colors.

If this mess is a tiramisù I’m Mother Theresa of Calcutta.

This is, in romagnolo slang “MAPPAZZONE”

  12. it looks like someone who has never cooked before saw a picture of a tiramisu and then decided to just wing it from memory and without a recipe.

Not going to lie….I would scrape the plate clean.

  14. It’s the least elegant, ugly, and unappetizing dessert I’ve ever seen. Cheap is the right word.

Tiramisù was invented in Treviso , a small city near Venezia. There’s an “official” recipe for real tiramisu. So definitely this is not tiramisu.
