    One suggestion: when you add any kind of vegetables to the passata, from onions to basil to even more, you reduce the preservation time.

    I know people use the passata even 2-3 years after, but the sad reality is that a well made passata (or pelati) should last max 1 year, 6 months with others vegetables inside it.

    Serious question, please don’t just downvote me.. is this truly better than something boxed or canned from Italy? Or is it just because you have tomatoes available?
