You think its bad now, with the car makers . Wait until they come out with the CBDC.. There really going too control you!
subscription based anything fills me with unbridled rage.
I’ll just drive older low mileage cars from here on. Given I can find one.
Range Rover air ride system is junk too
I'll stick with my 25 year old low tech combustion vehicle
Bruh, i just want a car that moves, not a shiny gadget that costs thousands
Car wizard,
What do you think of a box Caprice.
I bought a 2002 Ford F150 with the 5.4 V8 and I have 253K trouble free miles on it and it still has the original coolant, hoses, and water pump!
Nope.
My Tesla app can control everything inside the car. So when the screen does, I'll buy an old iPad, install the app, then will have real time Speedo, AC controls. Etc. Etc. Etc.
What I'm hearing is – there is a large market for 3rd party replacement battery makers. Question is – does it make economic sense to be worth the effort or are we still waiting for a leap in technology that would make those cheaper.
Yeah, I really hate the very idea of touch screens in cars – they are inconvenient and unsafe – can't be used "blind" just by touch, like buttons and knobs, using navigation on smartphone alone is bad enough, but ALL controls on a screen would be an absolute nightmare, especially on streets and roads like where I live – sometimes there are cracks and potholes, and then there are cobblestone pavement in some places – good look with using a touchscreen while driving over that! 🤣
People need to watch this video, is just a honest direct no rant problems car will have tomorrow.
With Biden regime running the shitshow since march 2020, there will be 15 min smart cities without cars.
I didnt know this was possible but i never use my phone when driving.
I dunno, Android Auto, wireless keys, and adaptive cruise control are pretty awesome. Can't go back.
all gm 2014+ have that. you cannot not buy one without it 🙁
Seriously, screens on cars should be banned. Tactile controls are best. Keep you eyes on the road! This is a vehicle driven on roads not a technology that should be played around!
I would not buy there car if there was monthly features just like I don't use windows for the same reasons
I would implore mr wizard to add any jeep or dodge product with the multi air engine. We’ve seen these multiple times fail and it’s clearly going to happen in 90% of them. The crankshaft has two sprockets on the end and both share the same small half moon key. The two sprockets “wallow “ the key back and forth till the key way is so wide it’s causing idle issues initially and eventually it sets codes. It is insane expensive and usually goes out just out of warranty range. Plainly put it’s a future problem as it’s literally junk design. I’m sick and tired of giving customers horrific news on this pos product near always just days or weeks after they just bought it. The dealerships know it’s a problem but refuse to address it let alone inform you of it. It’s heartbreaking
I purposely bought my 2005 GMC truck, which spent its life in the south, Texas. It actually still gets 15 city , 20 highway with loaded down load , for the tools I carry for work. I actually use mine for work, as I do building maintenance/ remodeling professionally. I'd never buy a truck if not used for work, or if I actually needed the 4×4. Folks gas will never come back down, so don't complain about gas prices💸💸 if you buy a truck you don't need !
Great advice here. Car technology can make you broke and not be able to get to work…
Be careful on leased cars. They probably make the check engine light come on, so you can't do your buy-out option . These are the same companies that took our tax dollars for bailouts. The auto industry is literally destroying our earth as we are willing participants. USA requires you to have a car since all the roads and cities are built for cars. What the car industry can't or won't understand is that our children and children's children will pay the price. The car companies owners' children included will pay the price also. The air we breath has become toxic.
Not to mention what the airline industry has done to air quality. 😢
To be fair to other electric vehicle manufacturers, the first generation Nissan Leaf suffered extremely rapid battery degradation due to having virtually no thermal management of the battery. Electric vehicles with a quality thermal management system seem to fare a lot better.
And no we are not electric vehicle lovers, I drive a diesel 80 series Landcruiser, and my wife drives a diesel DM series Hyundai Santa Fe.
Why state the highest price you can find and declare it a normal price? I can find used Tesla model s batteries for 499.00 and they come in modules, so not all is lost, just remove the worst modules.
The replacement costs to replace EV batteries is only going to go up dramatically as the demand continues to outpace the supply.
I drive a 40 year old truck. I can see myself driving this truck for another 40 years. None of these new vehicles will still be on the road in 40 years.
