    slow cooked beef ragu 2hrs by Curtis Stone.

    chuck steak or rump

    dice it up

    sear the steak

    salt and pepper

    then add

    thyme

    1 onion roughly chopped

    2 cloves garlic roughly chopped

    1 celery roughly chopped

    1 carrot roughly chopped

    2x tin full tomatoes (not the chopped ones)

    beef stock 1 cup (i used knorrs rich beef stock pot)

    half cup balsamic

    2.5 hours 170 degrees in the oven

    or 2 hrs simmer on stove.

    serve with some cheese

    here using balsamic instead of red wine add a little extra sweetness which is nice.

    min fuss meal, great flavours, no need to add further seasoning. the smell is awesome.
