Pizza – It Was Once a Poor Man’s Food!
In 16th-century Naples, a galette flatbread was referred to as a pizza, and was known as a dish for poor people, particularly as street food . It was not considered a kitchen recipe until much later. The simple and inexpensive ingredients used to make pizza, such as flour, tomatoes, and cheese, made it an accessible and filling meal for the working poor.
Over time, pizza evolved from its humble origins to become a beloved dish enjoyed by people of all social classes.

''Poor mans food'' rich in taste tho
Risotto is also a poor man's dish. Chef's have made a cheap dish ridiculously expensive by putting their own touches on the dish.
Now a poor college student meal
Ahh….real Italian pizza….my true love……
and it's still pretty good I don't care if it's a poor man's food I'm still going to eat it.
