  1. Use olive oil instead of the butter, butter has low heat resistance ( aka if you have it on high heat for too long it burns ) instead if you use olive oil it has a much better resistance to heat.

  3. Cook the pasta together with the sauce for a couple of minutes at the end, makes a world of difference.
    Also add a little bit of the pasta water to the sauce, the starch in it which helps thicken the sauce.
