Oh nice! I never had lasagne with béchamel in it until I moved to England. Originally I’m from the States, and it was always just marinara/meat sauce with mozzarella cheese as the filling.

Mom is piemontese. Always besciamella sauce and honestly- she never put a stupid carrot or celery in her sauce. Just onion and piemontese style sausage.
