  1. I like mine Johnnie's way, they put all the dry spices in the broth and don't strain it but put the beef back into it, so you have spices on the beef and on the bread, extra flavor. And I like mine as a combo with grilled italian sausage, double dipped.

I was once blown away by one and have never recreated. I'm going to use 1g of amalyse in the bread dough to get that commercial bread bounciness. Hoping it's like what I had.

  7. My friend and I met Chris a few weeks back. We went to Mr. Beef’s after it was supposed to be closed and he was still there, welcomed us in. We had Italian beefs and just shot the shit for like an hour. He gave a homeless dude that came in free fries while we were talking. A few days ago he recognized me in public and said what’s up like we’d been friends for years. Chicago legend.

  11. I love talking to and meeting people like Chris. His energy is so genuine and u can hear his passion when it comes to his restaurant. These are the type of people that deserve roads named after them because they spread love everyday just with their presence, and he also does it with amazing food 🤤
