You should throw the asparagus in at the end. It’s obvious you still have a while to cook on this and the asparagus will get mushy. If you like it like that then go for it. I would suggest throwing it in at the end so they’re not over cooked.
Alternatively, you can sauté the asparagus separately, or even better grill them over charcoal or wood, and throw them in at the end. Just my two cents. Enjoy!
