Bow tie pasta with vegetables
Bow tie pasta recipe with vegetables.This is a very basic masala pasta recipe made with bow tie pasta variety.I got this pack of bow tie pasta as a gift hamper and the last cup was waiting to be used up so made this easy and quick pasta for breakfast.
Whenever I am in a hurry I use pasta sauce .
1 cup bow tie pasta
1 small carrot(chopped finely)
1/2 small capsicum(chopped finely)
1 no big onion(finely chopped)
1 tbsp pasta sauce
1/2 tsp freshly crushed pepper
1/4 tsp mixed herbs
3/4 to 1 cup water
salt to taste
To temper:
1/2 tsp jeera
2 tsp crushed garlic
1 tsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
Instructions
Cook pasta along with water and salt until soft.Drain water and keep aside.For more detailed instruction for cooking pasta check here.
Heat oil + butter, add jeera let it crackle.Add crushed garlic saute for 2 mins.
Add onion saute till transparent. Then add carrot and capsicum for few mins.Then add pasta sauce mix well.
Add water and let the veggies cook for few mins.Cook covered until the veggies are slightly soft yet crunchy enough to bite.Then add crushed pepper,mixed herbs and salt.We have already used salt for cooking pasta so add salt accordingly.
Mix well.Add the pasta and toss well.Serve hot!
