The silkiest Italian Meringue Buttercream had arrived! This easy recipe requires a little more TLC but it’s definitely one of my favorites of ALL TIME! Plus, its the only chance I really get to pull out my fancy thermometer!

INGREDIENTS:

4 egg whites at room temperature
1 1/2 cups of sugar
1/4 cup of water
4 sticks of butter at room temperature
1 teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon of vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract

TOOLS:

Stand mixer fitted with whisk attachment
Medium pot
Hot plate (or use your stove)
Spatula
Measuring cups
Measuring spoons
Hand held thermometer or candy thermometer
