Tiramisù is a classic italian dessert made with ladyfingers dipped in coffee, layered with a mixture of eggs, sugar and mascarpone cheese and
sifted cocoa powder. The word tiramisù comes from the italian phrase, “tira mi su” which means “pick me up” in english.
Ingredients:
300 g ladyfingers
500 g mascarpone cheese
100 g sugar
200 ml coffee for dipping
4 eggs
50 g cocoa powder
*I prepared a lot of coffee for this video, a lot more than needed. lol
I used espresso coffee diluted with hot water but you can also
use instant coffee dissolved in water, whichever you have on hand.
*Also if you’re pregnant and or just someone who’s not a fan of raw eggs in desserts, you always have the option of using pasteurized eggs.
*To pasteurize the eggs, place them in a saucepan, turn on the heat and bring the water up to 60’C or 140’F for 3 minutes. Rinse the eggs with cold water afterwards.
