Béchamel sauce, also known as white sauce, is a sauce originated between France and Italy made from a white roux and milk. It has been considered, since the seventeenth century, one of the mother sauces of French cuisine. It is used as the base for other sauces.
The main ingredients in this sauce are Butter, Flour, and Milk.
Not everybody likes Cheese and when it comes to Pizza it’s all about Cheese so I made Pizza without Cheese using Béchamel Sauce and asked my wife to have a slice. Surprisingly she didn’t realize that there is no Cheese in it because it was Juicy and moist even without added cheese.
So why don’t you give it a try? It’s amazingly cheap and surprisingly simple.
Béchamel Sauce Recipe:
1. 200 ml of Milk.
2. 1tbs of all-purpose Flour.
3. 2 tbs of Butter.
4. Mix Flour with Milk by thoroughly whisking them together.
5. Heat up the butter in a Pan
6. Pour Milk and Flour Mixture into the Pan while continuously stirring the Spatula.
7. Cook on Low Flame for 2 minutes
8. Béchamel Sauce/ White Sauce is ready.
