Hi everyone! This is my first cooking video on Youtube.
I’m going to show you how to cook “Funghi Trifolati”.
“Trifolato” in Italian is a adjective to address any food prepared with garlic and parseley. I’m not sure how to translate it, so I just called them Garlic Mushrooms!
Here you have the list of the ingredients:
-250 g of Mushrooms (Chestnut, Champignon or Oyster variety)
-100 g of Olive Oil
– 2 (up to 5) cloves of Garlic
-5 stems of parseley
– a pinch of salt
Optional:
– Chili (fresh, dries or sauce)
Preparation:
First of all you need to chop your parsely, then peel and mash your garlic. It’s your choice whether you want to chop them of if you want to keep the whole clove. If you decide so, it will be easier for you to avoid eating the garlic itself. I decided to chop it, anyway.
Slice your mushrooms, then put your pan on the stove and turn the heat on at a medium/high level.
Add your oil, your garlic and if you have it, your chili.
Let it cook for a couple of minutes and then add your mushrooms and a pinch of salt. Mix well, then put the lid on, and let it cook for about 5 minutes.
After this, add your chopped parseley and mix well. Put the lid on again and keep cooking for 10 minutes.
After a total of 15-20 minutes (not more), turn the heat off, let it rest for 1 minute and then serve your Garlic Mushrooms!
This is a perfect side for meat dishes.
Buon appetito!
