A&Z #820 – Atlas vs The Brick Oven’s “Italian Deep Dive” Pizza Challenge w/ Chicken Parm, Pasta, and Hungarian Stuffed Peppers at The Brick Oven Italian Restaurant in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. Hey everybody!! Back in early mid-December 2019, as part of my “4th Quarter 2019” Food Challenge Tour, I flew from Tampa, Florida up to Cleveland, Ohio so I could attempt 4 delicious food challenges around the Toledo and Cleveland, Ohio areas. For challenge #3, I went to The Brick Oven Italian Restaurant in Middleburg Heights, Ohio which is a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. I helped debut their new “Italian Deep Dive” Pizza Challenge which was so delicious!! I had 1 hour to finish a 14″ brick oven cheese pizza topped with homemade cavatelli pasta, lasagna, mozzarella cheese patties, chicken parmesan, a meatball, and Hungarian Stuffed Peppers filled with Italian sausage. Thanks so much to Jennifer the owner and her staff, including head chef Alex, for the wonderful food and hospitality, and thanks to all the amazing people who came up to watch and meet me that early evening!! The Brick Oven’s “Italian Deep Dive” Pizza Challenge in Middleburg Heights, Ohio ($70):
– The Brick Oven Italian Restaurant in Middleburg Heights, Ohio is well known for their brick oven pizzas and other Italian dishes. The base layer is a 14″ diameter brick oven cheese pizza.
– The next layer consists of homemade cavatelli pasta and lasagna as well.
– There are some fried mozzarella cheese patties along with thick pieces of delicious chicken parmesan.
– There are lots of Hungarian stuffed peppers filled with juicy Italian sausage.
– The meal is completed by them placing a large meatball into the center of everything.
– There is a 1 hour time limit to finish this Italian and somewhat spicy 7lb meal (because of the peppers).
– Winners receive the $70 meal free, a sweet t-shirt, and a spot on The Brick Oven’s Wall of Fame.
