GLENDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — Happy hour at Tre Bicchieri in Glendale is served Tuesday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. in the bar area, bringing a classic Italian-style transition from the afternoon into the evening.

The name translates to “three glasses,” representing champagne for brunch, martinis for happy hour, and wine for dinner. For this afternoon window, the food menu is split into simple $5 and $8 tiers, available for bar seating only.

The $5 food tier offers a wide variety of Italian-style bites. Guests can start with the polenta cakes topped with short ribs, queso fundido, and jalapeño, or the crispy arancini served on marinara and finished with pesto. For something light, there is an olive cocktail featuring Mediterranean-style olives, as well as house or Caesar salads, with the option to add chicken for $5. Hot vegetable and bread options include a mini eggplant parmigiana layered with mozzarella and marinara, and classic bruschetta with marinated tomatoes on grilled Italian bread.

Rounding out the $5 options are the pulled pork minis served slider-style with salsa verde, and Italian nachos featuring carnitas, bruschetta, queso fundido, and jalapeños over flash-fried pasta sheet chips. Meat-centric and fried bites include a meatball melt with a pair of house-made meatballs baked in marinara and topped with mozzarella, crunchy deep-fried three-cheese ravioli with spicy marinara, ham-stuffed potato croquettes, and a hummus plate served with pita and fresh vegetables.

For $8, the menu steps up with heavier plates and seafood. The shrimp and veggies features flour-dusted, flash-fried shrimp, artichokes, and zucchini served with house marinara. Mushroom lovers can grab the stuffed mushrooms packed with risotto, short rib, and cheeses in a rosa sauce. Classic Italian pairings include prosciutto burrata drizzled with extra virgin olive oil, and a fresh caprese with tomato, mozzarella, balsamic drizzle, and basil.

The remaining $8 plates bring hearty comfort, including loaded waffle fries topped with queso, short rib, and bacon, and a carnitas and mashed plate featuring mashed potatoes topped with carnitas and gravy. House-made chicken fingers are breaded, deep-fried, and served with a spicy sweet sauce, while the bacon-wrapped Italian sausage is served with a spicy aioli on a bed of peppers and onions.

To finish on a sweet note, the menu features $5 mini desserts, with choices between a mini cannoli or a mini tiramisu.

On the drink side, happy hour specials feature $10 martinis and specialty cocktails, along with $8 house wines and $6 draft beers. The espresso martini is a favorite, mixing fresh espresso, vanilla vodka, and coffee liqueur. Other $10 cocktail options include a lemon drop martini with a sugar rim, a classic cosmopolitan, an Italian margarita with a splash of amaretto, and a classic vodka mule. Nonalcoholic mocktails are available for $7.

The ambiance matches the Italian family-owned spirit, offering a vibrant, warm and social neighborhood vibe. It’s an inviting, old-school-meets-modern space built around a long-table energy, making it an easy spot to pull up a seat at the bar, share a couple of plates, and stay a while.
