“Pizzeria Donna Sofia Ai Tribunali”, “Antica Pizzeria Port’Alba”, “Pizzeria Di Matteo” and “Gino Sorbillo” are of course the pizzas I have tried during my stay in Napoli. Via dei Tribunali is the famous street in the centre of Napoli where I loved every pizza I tried. In the video you can see all of the special pizzas from each pizzeria. Amazing experience to eat pizza in the city where it was born.
Pizza is a dish of Italian origin, consisting of a usually round, flattened base of leavened wheat-based dough topped with tomatoes, cheese, and often various other ingredients (anchovies, olives, meat, etc.) baked at a high temperature, traditionally in a wood-fired oven. Pizzeria Brandi’s chef, invented a dish called “Pizza Margherita” in honour of the Queen of Italy, Margherita of Savoy, and the Italian unification, since toppings are tomato (red), mozzarella (white) and basil (green), representing the same colours of the national flag of Italy.
