I got a first look inside Piccolo Buco before its official opening and had the chance to interview Cooper’s Hawk founder Tim McEnery and Chef Luca Issa from the original Piccolo Buco in Rome.

This is the first Piccolo Buco in Southwest Florida and only the fifth location in the country. They’re known for their contemporary Neapolitan-style pizza with an airy, crispy crust made from premium Italian ingredients. One more tip… save room for dessert! The olive oil gelato is a fun one to try because it’s so unique, but my favorite was the cookies and cream.

Piccolo Buco officially opens Monday in Estero. I have a feeling it’s going to become one of Southwest Florida’s hottest new restaurants.
