4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
1 1/2 cups marinara sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Fresh parsley, finely chopped for garnish
Recipe Instructions
Prep: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
Season & Sear: Season the chicken breasts evenly on both sides with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
Layer: Place the seared chicken breasts into the prepared baking dish. Spoon a generous amount of marinara sauce over each chicken breast, then top evenly with a thick layer of shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
Bake: Bake uncovered for 15–20 minutes until the chicken is completely cooked through (internal temperature reaches 165°F / 74°C) and the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown.
Serve: Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve hot.
