Turns out the real Italian food pyramid has Aperol Spritz at the top.
We lost count of how many we had somewhere around Florence. It didn’t matter where we were: a rooftop bar in Rome, a little piazza in Umbria, a café in Florence: everyone had one in hand. Locals, tourists, grandmas, you name it. It’s basically Italy’s national drink at this point (maybe besides wine).
If you’re heading to Italy, just know your Aperol Spritz era is coming whether you planned for it or not.
💾 Heading to Rome soon? Save this so you don’t forget. We are currently putting together our full Italy guide, and when it’s ready, comment ITALY GUIDE below and we’ll send it straight to your DM.
