Today we’re in lovely Würzburg, Bavaria, Germany. Würzburg is the capital of the German wine region Franconia, which is famous for its dry white wines. In addition to having some amazing wineries, Würzburg is also home to the Würzburger Hofbräu beer brewery (the oldest existing company in Würzburg, founded in 1643 by the Franconian Prince-Bishop Johann Philipp von Schönborn). The Capri Blaue Grotte is also in Würzburg . During our visit to Würzburg today, we will visit the Alte Mainbrücke (Old Main Bridge), which is also known as the Wine Bridge, we will eat at La Rustica a family owned Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria, and visit a few beautiful churches including the Marienkapelle, the Neumünster Collegiate church, and the Deutschhauskirche.
