Do you have an opinion about Gewutztraminer? Pungent floral and tropical fruit aromas are not for everyone, but I like wines (and people!) with an expressive personality. Exuberance and elegance absolutely coexist!
Lackluster Gewutz can present with a flabby, low-acid palate and a “grandmother’s bathroom” nose, but it’s never wise to write off an entire grape or category of wine.
If you’ve never tried Gewutztraminer before, my friend Michele recommends drinking it with Jamaican jerk chicken!
