The narrator almost sounds like a clone of the food geek, Alton Brown. His cook books are an interesting read.
Mount Etna!? That super active volcano on Sicily?
Here's the obligatory Mama mia.
Marinara sauce surprised me the most! My grandmother was a Sicilian and made her marinara sauce from scratch. Growing her own ingredients in her little garden. Wow. Bet she never new that
In other words Italians used other ingredients in their cooking long before the tomatoes arrived. FYI there are more pasta and pizza recipes that do NOT contain one oz of the tomatoes.
So interesting! Food is made richer when cultures come together.
Toe-Mah-toe… how pretentious 😂
TO ME THIS VIDEO SEEMS LIKE IT DOESN'T WANT TO GIVE CREDIT TO THE ITALIANS. SO WHAT THAT SOME OF THE INGREDIENTS DIDN'T COME FROM ITALY. THE ITALIANS PERFECTED EVERY SINGLE RECIPE….TO THIS DAY…ITALIAN FOOD IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD….NOBODY HAS FOOD BETTER THAN THE ITALIANS…..OR A BIGGER VARIETY OF FOOD THAN THE ITALIANS….
Believe it or not, Tiramisú was born in the same year as my maternal cousin Manuel Ignacio Jr., 1969.
